Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the main differences between Eaglenos EN102 and traditional benchtop blood gas analyzers?

A:

Compared to traditional benchtop blood gas analyzers, the EN102 dry blood gas analyzer is lightweight, portable, and user-friendly. The EN102 requires minimal maintenance, because there are no internal liquid pathways. It operates using single-use test cartridges with built-in calibration solutions, reducing both waste and costs.

Q: How to load samples correctly onto the EN102?

A:

Perform the test within 30 minutes of blood collection. Before loading the sample:

· Mix the sample thoroughly.
· Remove any air bubbles.
· Discard the first two drops of blood.
· Load the sample until the marked fill line on the test cartridge.
· Secure the sealing cap to complete the loading process.

Q: What is the preferred blood collection tool for the EN102?

A:

The recommended tool is an arterial blood gas needle. If using a regular syringe, ensure it is pre-treated with heparin to prevent clotting.

Q: Can the EN102 connect to HIS/LIS systems?

A:

Yes, the EN102 supports HL7 protocols and wired connections via TCP, FTP, and HTTP protocols.

Q: What are the preferred blood collection tubes for the Eaglenos P1 Electrolyte Analyzer?

A:

· Use heparinized anticoagulant tubes for collecting and storing whole blood samples.
· For serum samples, use either regular tubes or coagulation-promoting tubes.

Q: What are the sample storage conditions for  P1 Electrolyte Analyzer?

A:

· Whole Blood Samples: Store in heparinized anticoagulant tubes at room temperature (10–30 °C) for up to 5 hours; Refrigerated samples (2–8 °C) can be stored for up to 12 hours.
· Serum Samples: Store at room temperature for up to 4 hours. Refrigerated samples can be stored for up to 24 hours; Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Q: How can I upgrade the software for the P1 Electrolyte Analyzer?

A:

Insert a USB drive with the installation package into the analyzer for automatic updates. Contact Eaglenos customer support to obtain the latest software package.

Q: Can the Eaglenos Creatinine Meter calculate eGFR based on creatinine results?

A:

Yes, the creatinine meter can calculate eGFR directly on the meter after entering the necessary patient information. eGFR can also be calculated via the Eaglenos Health App on a mobile device.

Q:  How to properly collect blood for creatinine testing?

A:

· Wash hands thoroughly before using the lancing device.
· Ensure the blood forms a proper droplet shape without excessive squeezing of the wound.
· Discard the first droplet of blood and use the second drop for testing.

Q: What are the operating temperature conditions for the Eaglenos Creatinine Meter?

A:

· The creatinine meter operates within a temperature range of 10 °C to 40 °C.
· Avoid sudden temperature changes (e.g., near an air-conditioning vent).
· In colder climates, allow the device to equilibrate to room temperature before testing for optimal performance.
